WEEK 1 Williamstown at Roughriders, PPD June 3, 2013 HADDONFIELD - The game between the Roughridrers and Williamstown was postponed due to inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 21 in Haddonfield. Roughriders 6, Washington Twp 5 (6 inn.) June 5, 2013 WASHINGTON TWP - The Roughriders scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull out a 6-5 win in their season opener versus Washington Twp. The game was called after six innings due to darkness. Mike Reagle started the inning with a one-out walk. Consecutive walks to Andrew Juliani and Andrew DiFina loaded the bases for Adam Bartholomew. Bartholomew’s fielder’s choice force out at second scored pinch runner Alex Reinicker with the tying run and when the attempted relay to first was thrown away, Juliani scored the winning run. Nick Cavanaugh earned the win with four innings of relief work (5 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 6 K). Emergency starter Dene Vespe pitched the first two innings (3 H, 2 ER). The Roughriders had gone ahead 4-3 in the fourth on RBI singles by Chris Bartell (1-2, 2 RBI) and Sean Hunter (1-3). But Washington Twp would score two unearned runs in the sixth without hitting a ball out of the infield to take a 5-4 lead before the Roughs returned the favor in the bottom half. The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 25 in Deptford.
