WEEK 7

Roughriders 3, Washington Twp Senators 2 July 13, 2015
HADDONFIELD - Adam Bartholomew’s walk-off RBI single scored Joey Craig with the winning run the Roughriders’ 3-2 win over the visiting Senators. The win snapped a nine-game winless streak for the team. Tied 2-2 in the seventh, Craig drew a leadoff walk and advanced to second on Alex Reinicker’s single. A botched pickoff attempt advances both runners before Bartholomew’s game winner was deposited into left field. The Roughs had gained an early 1-0 lead in the second on Ryan Easterday’s solo homer, his first of the year. A 2-1 lead was made possible when Bartholomew’s two-out RBI single scored Greg Myers (leadoff single) in the fifth. But Washington Twp tied the game again in the sixth with a run off Easterday, who would earn the win in relief (2.2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K). Nick Cavanaugh started and yielded no hits through 4.1 innings, issuing six walks and striking out three in the no-decision.

DeFrank scattered six hits and struck out a season high seven (3 ER, 4 BB). The Roughs jumped out early on Matt Cassell’s RBI single and Mark DiArenzo’s RBI groundout in the first. Three more run were tacked on in the third when Adam Bartholomew scored on a wild pitch, Mike Byrnes delivered an RBI single, and Joey Craig hit a sac fly to score Thomas Gosse (1-1, 2 BB, HBP, 2 RS). Leading 6-3 in the seventh, reliever Ryan Barrett finished up to record his first save of the season (1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 1 K). Roughriders 3, Maple Shade 1 July 17, 2015
HADDONFIELD – Nick DeFrank threw a complete game, three-hitter in the Roughriders' third straight win, a 3-1 victory. DeFrank gave up just three singles while striking out nine in his first start of the season. The home team got on the board quickly when Joey Craig led the game off with a double to left, Alex Reinicker singled, and Adam Bartholomew hit a sac fly for a 1-0 lead. In the second, Andrew Juliani singled in Mike Byrnes, who doubled with two outs, for a 2-0 advantage. That's all the run support DeFrank would need in earning his first Roughrider victory. The final week of the regular season concludes next week, with four games on the schedule.
