CHERRY HILL – CHBR/Third Base broke a 4-4 in the fifth inning and secured a 5-4 win over the Roughriders in Game
One of their Quarter Final Series. The game was not without controversy. With Ryan Joseph at second as the tying run in the top of the seventh,
Joseph was called out on runner interference while jumping over a batted ball to the CHBR third baseman. That resulted in the third and final out
of the game, when a protest by Roughrider manager Noah Clement ensued to no avail.
CHBR/THird Base 6, Roughriders 4 (6 inn.)
July 29, 2025 Game 2 - Qtr Finals
BELLMAWR – The Roughriders were eliminated from the 2025 playoffs in their hard fought 6-4 loss to CHBR/Third Base
on Tuesday night. The Roughs erased a 2-0 deficit in the bottom the second by scoring three times, highlighted by RBI from Evan Carbone and Danny
Vazquez. That score held for most of the game, before CHBR scored four runs in the fifth inning to take a 6-3 lead. The Roughs would attempt to
rally in the sixth. Jacob Watson led off with a double, and after an out, Carbone reached on an error to put runners at the corners. Vincent
Pavini's infield single scored Watson and Vazquez was then hit by a pitch to load the bases. But Shane Daly's line drive up the middle was caught and turned into an unassisted double play
to end the game and season. The Roughriders finish with an 8-8-2 overall record.
